Leadership

Leadership shaped by lived expertise

Those closest to the challenges must have meaningful power in shaping the solutions.

Our philosophy

Survivors as leaders, not symbols

Survivor leadership means more than featuring a personal story or inviting someone to speak. It requires meaningful influence in organisational priorities, programme design, implementation, advocacy and evaluation.

Leadership development should be supported by safe participation, fair expectations, informed consent and opportunities that do not require public disclosure of personal trauma.
